Yesway Internship
Throughout my semester-long internship at Yesway, I contributed to a diverse array of projects including product designs, presentation designs, in-store signage, print advertisements, short animations, social media designs, and website designs.
In-Store Signage
At Yesway, I crafted a variety of in-store signage, ranging from eye-catching cooler banners for beer to informative promotional pamphlets and store mats. Notably, all in-store signage was meticulously designed in CMYK format, ensuring accurate color representation despite potential variations when viewed on computer screens.
This in-store counter mat was designed not only by just me but also in collaboration with the marketing team. I however worked primarily on layout and final design of it.
Mailers & Mobile Ads
At Yesway, I also had the opportunity to create printable mailers and mobile banners for in-app advertisements. Maintaining brand consistency was paramount throughout these projects, requiring strategic utilization of available space to effectively convey messaging.
Facebook & Twitter Designs
I was responsible for crafting diverse social media designs tailored for holidays, special events, and the launch or return of products. These designs were optimized for both Facebook and Twitter, adhering to industry best practices. Employing simple illustrations and a keen focus on typographic balance, each design aimed to engage audiences effectively across platforms.
ALLSUPS’ Web Design
During my internship, Yesway acquired one of their competitors, 'ALLSUPS,' and entrusted me with the task of redesigning their website's 'homepage' and 'about' page. These mockups required a basic layout that prioritized simplicity and versatility. I opted for a straightforward 3-column layout, ensuring ease of modification for future updates and optimal performance across mobile platforms.
Animations
Toward the end of my internship, I had some fun creating short and playful animations for Yesway.
